For the last few weeks I have really been happy to do anything or do must things. In other words I have been real lazy and un motivated, after all the high hopes I set myself to come crashing down on me like a house on fire. To be honest it's my own fault, I am so used to setting my standards so high that when it comes crashing down I am just so angry with myself. Now I have learnt my lesson and won't be setting such high standards of myself again. Why was this you say. Was it because no one pushed me to believe in myself? No one encouraged me? Well no it's not. People don't start to believe in you till you believe in yourself and people don't start to encourage you until they actually see something in progress. It's just the way it is really.
A lot of people tell me not to set my standards too high because it will only turn to disappointment, which is true in so many ways. However if I don't set high standards of myself does that mean that I become like every other average person? Mhm.
Amongst my group of friends I am called the dreamer, I like dreaming because I know there is much more to my life than just now and because I have acceptable standards of myself I will run towards it. I like a bit of challenge.
I have one question to ask you guys do you think it's arrogant to have high standards of ones self?
People who know me, know very well that I don't wait to be encouraged before I do something, instead I push myself before people start encouraging me. I am so used to discouragement that I know if I let it get me to me, I might as well jump off Tower Bridge and forget I ever existed. To be honest it is nice when people do encourage you to do something because it's like showing them that although you are taking whatever you're facing on, you are also prepared to face the giants that come your way.
